Women of Passion, Women of Greece
Have you ever attended a play on a train wagon-turned-theatrical stage? The Railway Carriage Theatre “To Treno sto Rouf” is the unique setting for Women of Passion, Women of Greece. Eugenia Arseni’s play connects the stories of three famous Greek women, Medea, Maria Callas and Melina Mercouri, women who passionately pour their hearts out for the audience-passengers of the refurbished 1950s train. In succession, Evelina Arapidi, embodies the three heroines in this impressive one-woman show performed in English with live music by Fotis Mylonas. A short walk from Kerameikos metro station, the refurbished wagons of the train also include a bar and a restaurant, so you can wine and dine after the play at this very special setting.
