Athens Urban Gallery
Telephone distribution boxes have never been more attractive. For those of you (us too), who have never noticed them, they're the metal boxes that stand on street corners with a bunch of wires inside that connect our phones to a network. But that doesn't matter here. What matters is that in the Commercial Triangle, the boxes have been cleaned of all random tagging and turned into canvases for 40 local street artists. The result? You got it; an urban gallery. An initiative of the Athens Partnership and This is Athens-Polis, this free art exhibit begins on the corner of Voulis and Ermou streets, where the largest number of these boxes are found. Come check it out, take photos and tag #athensurbangallery #antitagging to support the effort to keep our city clean.
