Brian Eno: 77 Million Paintings
Ambient mastermind and conceptual artist Brian Eno needs no introduction (in case he does he was a founding member of the pioneering art rock group Roxy Music in the 80s before moving on to a legendary solo career in ambient production.) Eno's work in visual arts might not be so popular but it is definitely equally engaging. In 77 Million Paintings Eno combines music and imagery through a software algorithm that never produces the same result twice. The installation was first shown in Tokyo in 2006 and has been shown all over the world, never in the same form. It will be presented during the Summer Nostos Festival at the Book Castle of the National Library at the SNFCC.
