Oktoberfest
The Official Oktoberfest, powered by Athens Street Food Festival, is making its debut in Athens.
Oktoberfest has a long history that dates back to 1810, when the first ever festival took place, nowadays attracts 6 million visitors to Munich annually and has earned the title of the world’s greatest folk festival. Several cities worldwide simultaneously come together under the official Oktoberfest banner, and this year, Athens joins in. Mark your calendars for this four-day fiesta that will take over the OSY Old Train Depot. You’ll get to enjoy delicious German beer, including special barrels of limited-edition brew straight from Bavaria. There’s also going to be authentic German food, lederhosen (the traditional Bavarian attire), stand-up performances, and all-around beer-induced mirth. With your ticket you also get a limited edition beer glass, cheers to that! If you’re beer fans, take our word for it and check out local brews, too.
