Drama International Short Film Festival in Athens
The Drama International Short Film Festival is the most important celebration of short film in Greece. So it’s no surprise that local film buffs are excited that this year’s edition is coming to Athens. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch all the movies that participated in the National Competition and the award-winning films from the National Student Competition. The theme for this year's festival was "Interiority and Introspection", with most participating films exploring various aspects of human experience. They cover topics like sexuality, love relationships among women, family dynamics, friendship, childhood memories and trauma, as well as other pressing social issues. Among them you’ll get to see this year’s National Competition winner Bearcave, a story about the bond between two young women living in a village in northern Greece who discover that they share romantic feelings for each other.
