Myrto Psychaki: Articulate
"Art doesn’t imitate life, as it is usually claimed. It is rather the other way around," said the Greek-French philosopher, Kostas Axelos.
Psychaki's work, currently on display at Blender Gallery, truly embodies this idea. She draws the viewer into a world where narrative is stripped away, leaving behind a raw, introspective place. Her play with light and shadow, line and form becomes a documentation of transition and change, pieces of visual poetry, a dance between chaos and serenity. The artist's aim is not so much to define images as to open it up to limitless interpretation. If you're in the mood for a little poetic introspection, this is the exhibition for you. And if it gets a little too much, you can always let the breeze of the Athens Riviera sweep it all away.
