Ally Rosenberg: Muscle Memory
Muscle Memory, Ally Rosenberg's second solo exhibition at Dio Horia Gallery, is about shaking up norms, especially when it comes to old-fashioned masculinity. With the subtitle "True Myths of the Ego and Masculinity", his sculptural works are like a playful twist on tradition. What's really interesting is how Rosenberg's neuroscience background adds an extra layer to his art, exploring the quirks of the human consciousness. He has a talent for shaping sculptures out of familiar materials to show how our bodies carry our own stories but also the stories of those that came before us. Think of it as a journey through body, memory, and old tales.
To coincide with the exhibition, Rosenberg has also published a collection of short stories that goes even deeper into the themes of growing up and the lasting impact that we have on others.
