Fly Athens 2024: Street Pole Vault

Less than two months after the magnificent Olympic Flame Handover Ceremony, Athens is set to host another extraordinary event related to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Fly Olympia, the annual street pole vault competition that attracts top pole vault athletes from around the world, will take place in Athens in the courtyard of the Panathenaic Stadium on Sunday, June 16. The competition is the brainchild of Greek champion Emmanuel Karalis, bronze medallist at the 2024 World Indoor Championships and fourth place finisher at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, who envisioned bringing this elite event to the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games. Now in its third consecutive year, Fly Olympia moves from its previous venue in Ancient Olympia to the historic Kallimarmaro for its Fly Athens: Street Pole Vault 2024 edition, welcoming the sport's top names for an unforgettable display of athletic prowess.
