Oxygen
Easily the talk of the town in post-dramatic theatre this season, acclaimed young Greek director George Koutlis brings a bold reimagining of Ivan Vyrypaev's Oxygen to the stage. Originally written in the 2000s as a prose narrative with two characters—a girl and a boy sharing the same name—this adaptation includes a live DJ set, making it just as fitting for theatres as it is for clubs.
Currently showing at the avant-garde Stegi, this performance revisits the so-called manifesto of the 2000s, reinterpreting it for Generation Z. The stage transforms into a rave, with DJ Reign of Time on the decks, while a dynamic young cast searches for an antidote to the psychopolitical suffocation of our times.
