Athens State Orchestra: Journey to the New World

Summer at the SNFCC is far from over. Αpart from catching movie classics under the Athenian night sky, or dancing to exotic calypso grooves, you can get your dose of orchestral classic music as well—and for free. The Athens State Orchestra will share the SNFCC lawn stage with accordion and bandoneon virtuoso Klaudiusz Baran for a Journey to the New World, a night of melodies from the North and South of America. Tango to Astor Piazzolla's masterful compositions or reminisce to George Gershwin's and Leonard Bernstein's classic masterpieces, we leave it up to you. Don't forget your picnic blanket and and insect repellent.
