Athens International Film Festival 2019
Catch this year’s Palme d’Or winner Parasite—along with other hot indie flicks from all over the world—as the Athens International Film Festival dims the lights once more in various cinemas around the capital. The South Korean black comedy thriller that won over the Cannes jury will open this year’s programme at the Danaos cinema. Closing the curtain is Adults in the Room, Costa-Gavras’ film based on Yanis Varoufakis’ book about the 2015 Greek bailout. The 2019 line-up also features a run of queer films and the feverishly awaited director’s cut of Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now. For the full programme and screening locations, visit here.
