Apocalypse
The second coming. The four horsemen. The seven seals.
The Book of Revelations with its fearsome doomsday prophecies is one of the most confounding texts in human history. Who is deserving of eternal life? Is it a message of patience, belief, and hope in a better future? A call to insurrection? Through the filter of a contemporary theatrical production at the Onassis Stegi, Greek Director Thanos Papakonstantinou suggests that the myth of the Apocalypse is a “kind of parable for the constant transformations of the human faith in a better world to come”. You can catch this thought-provoking performance with English surtitles on Friday 18 October and the weekends of 12-13 October and 19-20 October.
