Vincenzo Bellini: La Sonnambula

The Greek National Opera opens its 2019/20 season with a most intriguing reading of one of Bellini's masterpieces, La Sonnambula. It has been 50 years since the popular opera has been staged by the GNO and it's return is highly anticipated. Co-produced with the Vienna State Opera and the Royal Opera House and directed by Marco Arturo Marelli, the production has been hailed as legendary and is considered as one of the most fascinating takes on Bellini's piece. Follow Amina's unfortunate sleepwalking at a lakeside village in Switzerland as she finds true love in the arms of Count Rodolfo—after crashing in his barn of course.
