Athens International Film Festival 2020

Planning ahead may not be the wisest thing to do in these times, but we can't help but dream now can we? The Athens International Film Festival does both dream and plan by announcing its 26th edition in September 2020. They seem to have it all figured out; movie theatres stand ready to host under the strictest safety measures, while part of the festival will also be streamed online for COVID-19 high risk groups that won't be able to attend. Plan B says that the entirety of the festival will be streamed online and will come with highly interactive features like talks with Q&As, masterclasses and more. Hopefully we'll meet up close and share a movie night or two with you out in Athens. More info on the programme and prices will be announced soon.

Update: It's happening! AIFF2020 will take place in seven gorgeous open-air cinemas in Athens. Screenings will also be broadcasted online for the safety of the public. You can book ahead for festival passes starting Monday September 7th.
