Athens Municipality Cultural Calendar: September - October 2020

Can't have a proper autumn season without cultural events in Athens. We know, nothing is quite exactly proper this year. But still, Athens manages to rise to the occasion by hosting concerts and theatrical and dance performances for both adults and kids throughout the city. The Culture, Sports & Youth Organization of the City of Athens with the Municipality of Athens have staged a series of free-entry and affordable events that take place at Technopolis, Grava Theatre and Kolonos Theatre. Mind you, there's a lot of Greek-oriented content here, but we've narrowed it down to the English friendly ones below:

Kolonos Theatre

• 06/09: Athens State Orchestra plays A. Copland, A. Honegger, J. Ibert, G. Gershwin. / Free entrance with ticket vouchers.*
• 08/09: Fly Me to the Moon: Athens Big Band Orchestra meets Anastasia Zanni to perform songs from Tin Pan Alley Musicals and other jazz standards. / Free entrance with ticket vouchers.*
• 10/09: Bodyterranean - The Show, by Simone Mongelli (dance) / Tickets.
• 02/10: COMMUN Contemporary Dance, by Polina Kremasta and Creo Dance Company. / Tickets ΤΒΑ.

Grava Theatre

• 12/09: Era Musicale - A night on musical cinema. / Free entrance with ticket vouchers.**

* Entry vouchers for events at Kolonos Theatre will be available at the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Athens, at the Antonis Tritsis amphitheatre, between 10.00-14.00 on the day before each event, as well as at the entrance of Kolonos Theatre, two hours prior to the starting time of each event.
**Entry vouchers for the events at Grava Theatre will be available at the Grava Centre for Creative Learning between 09.00-14.00 and two hours prior to the starting time of each event.
