We may not wear our rainbow stripes as loudly as Mykonos. But you only have to glance at our statues to guess that we worship love and pleasure in all its forms! Athens has a booming queer scene that welcomes LGBTQ+ visitors with open arms, all year round. Especially in sultry June when Pride hits town for a week of sparkly shenanigans. But no matter how (or who) you roll, summer in Athens spells blue-skied days at the beach, chased by flirty nights beneath the Acropolis … and endless possibilities.

What are you doing right now? Fancy dropping everything and joining us for a sunny stroll? We wanted to share our Athens - an Athens beyond soulless souvenir shops and taverna touts. So we shot some snappy videos of our favourite urban neighbourhoods and hangouts. Vibe with us in eclectic Kypseli; soak up the artsy airs of Pangrati. • Beat the heat by checking-into a hotel with an awesome pool.  We’ve got everything from family-friendly hideaways to seaside resorts and sky-high urban oases; 
• Salute the sunset at a groovy rooftop bar, with a native Greek cocktail in hand. It doesn’t get much more Athenian (or summer) than this;
• Head for glam Glyfada - the Athens Riviera capital - to discover our “most L.A.” neighbourhood. Except we hit the sack much later!
