Release Festival 2022: Parov Stelar & ARTBAT & TBA

Parov Stelar - Marcus Füreder’s moniker since the early 2000s - is the electro-swing phenomenon with sold-out acts all over the world. A renaissance man, Parov Stelar creates his own video art as well: his latest single, “Candy Girl” feat. Vallemarie, combines 1600 hand-drawn pages into a vivid, visual collage. Such pioneering, fun energy goes into his live performances, too.

A Greek audience favourite, he was rebooked by Release Festival, part of their strong comeback after a two-year hiatus, so be quick to act if you want to join the swinging crowd at Water Plaza. Ukrainian superstar DJ duo ARTBAT have also been announced for the same day, with the help of BLEND Athens, the city’s oldest dance crew and organisers of some of the biggest DJ parties in town. We’re curious to see how ARTBAT’s much more intense sound will serve as a warm-up to Parov Stelar, rather than the opposite, but we bet Release is gonna make it work. More acts will be announced for the day.
