Light Installations Festival 2024 at the SNFCC

Ever wished you could step into a dream? If Alice in Wonderland threw a holiday bash, it might look a lot like the SNFCC’s Dreamy Dreams. This holiday season, the Palio Faliro cultural centre transforms into a glowing wonderland, showcasing six mesmerising works by world-class international and Greek artists.

Stroll beneath Squidsoup’s Wave, a hypnotic sea of 500 glowing orbs synced to an ethereal soundscape. Get lost in the allure of Error by Vendel & de Wolf, a swirling black hole of light that challenges us to reflect on humanity’s flaws and the boundaries of technology. Or howl (in a festive way) at Moonburn, a city-charged, fluorescent moon that’s as enchanting as it is surreal.

Don’t miss Pressure, a glowing dome of pixel-controlled LED lights by Hans E. Madsen and Frederik D. Hougs that looks like a doodle come to life—chaotic yet strangely soothing, much like the human mind. From starry constellations in Efchi (Greek for “wish”) that assemble underfoot to mystical, luminous columns in Pompe, every corner of the park invites you into a magical, Insta-worthy dimension.

Running throughout the holidays, this festival is the ultimate escape from reality—because who wouldn’t want to spend their season inside a whimsical, light-filled fantasy?
