Metropolitan DMC & Event Management has been honored with the 2024 ADMEI Achievement Award in the Best Group Activity Category
At Metropolitan DMC & Event Management, we are thrilled to announce that we’ve been honored with the 2024 ADMEI Achievement Award in the Category of Best Group Activity for our entry: Growing Together: Cultivating a Transformative Volunteer Experience to Benefit Young Adults with Autism.
Judges were deeply impressed with our entry, recognizing the immense effort and impact of our volunteer project. One judge, an event consultant from Canada, remarked, “This is the most challenging & difficult CSR Volunteer project I have ever seen. (I can think of only one other that comes close). It required immense pre-planning followed by truly hard work on the part of the volunteers. It will continue to endure and provide lasting benefits. The Story attachment was extremely detailed and took you through the entire process from beginning to end.” Another judge, a corporate planner from the US praised our ability to create a custom CSR initiative that truly met objectives, stating: “Congratulations to this DMC for being able to come up with a truly custom CSR that met objectives. The impact was a real one for the end organization and not just a "feel good" event for the volunteers. The ultimate impact on the garden users will be felt for years, and that result will carry on with volunteers who participated as well because of the genuine impact.”
This project holds a special place in our hearts, as it made a significant impact on the lives of young people facing incredible challenges every day. We are immensely proud to have contributed to enriching their lives and grateful for our work to be acknowledged and awarded.
Our entry:
Growing Together: Cultivating a transformative volunteer experience to benefit young adults with autism.
Objective:
To find, design and execute a volunteer opportunity (CSR) that would make an impact on the lives of young people, particularly those disadvantaged through poverty, opportunity, social acceptance, gender or disability.
Mission:
To transform the neglected overgrown garden of the institute into a relaxing, accessible, sensory, safe space to promote wellbeing and learning.
Achievements:
→Curated an impactful and emotional experience for the volunteers.
→Fostered a sense of unity and teamwork among all participants.
→Built a space that will positively impact the lives of the students at the institute for years to come.
→Established a space where inclusion and wellbeing are the main focus.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Red Blaze for their trust and support over the years, and for giving us the opportunity to design & deliver this activity. Special thanks to our partners Event Plus for helping us realize our vision.
