37th Panorama of European Cinema
Lights, camera, action. The 37th Panorama of European Cinema returns to Athens from November 21st to 27th, at the Trianon, Newman, and Studio New Star Art Cinema theatres, and the Hellenic American Union. This iconic festival has been a cornerstone of Athens' film culture for 35 years, showcasing the best in European and Greek cinema—ranging from contemporary hits to timeless classics. Alongside new films and avant-premieres, the festival will honour cinema visionaries through a series of tributes. Notable highlights include tributes to independent cinema pioneer John Cassavetes, French director Claude Sautet, and American director Roger Corman, with screenings of key works from their careers. The festival also marks the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka’s death with a special screening of Orson Welles’ The Trial and other lesser-known films.
Additionally, a Masterclass by Italian producer Loris Curci on "Producing a Horror Film in the Balkans" will take place in English on Friday, November 22nd (12-2 pm). Pre-registration is required at [email protected].
