Akin
If you feel the urge to change or reinvent the world, or often feel the need to just be in nature and marvel at its wonders, keep reading. The exhibition Akin, a collaboration between the artists Céline Condorelli and Angela Melitopoulos, focuses on the structural complexity of the world around us. Cordonelli, current Artist in Residence at the National Gallery of London (her latest solo exhibition is on display as we write this,) experiments with artificial intelligence and employs the ancient technology of cephalopods to produce print drapes and dioramas. Melitopoulos has been creating experimental video-essays, installations, documentaries, and sound pieces since 1985, and her most recent solo exhibition is now on display at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid. In Akin they respectively explore the scale and system of colour production and the different landscapes of Earth.
There are scheduled guided tours of the exhibition in various languages including Greek sign language, Albanian, and Arabic so make sure to visit their website in advance if you’re interested in any of the above.
