New Year's Eve 2023: CHAOS

Athens really does have something for everyone this Christmas season. Want to enter the New Year to the glory of French operas? Done. How about dancing into the early hours of 2024 to the freestyle picks of a legendary British selector? Also done. For the more disciplined among you, we also have the year’s First Run to help you achieve your first goal of the new year. If it is chaos you prefer, then CHAOS you shall have.

A 12-hour techno marathon is in the works at Monastiraki’s Temple nightclub, organised by some of the biggest names in Athens. And we’re not talking polished, mainstream techno, but proper old school vibes. What's even better is that the event comes with a disclaimer on contemporary dance etiquette, which we absolutely loved reading and promoting. So if you're thinking of joining the local techno heads for the turn of the year, here's what you need to know:

“Festival Rules: Harassment of any kind (non-consensual acts, verbal or physical abuse, racism, homophobia, transphobia, body-shaming, misogyny, kink-shaming, etc.) will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate discharge from the venue. Respect the venue, the festival and all staff. The festival retains the right to deny entry. Be safe and protect others! If you see any act that resembles the above, inform a festival staff member or a member of the security team.“
