Four Seasons
Do you remember nature documentaries when you were kids? They were all about excitement and discovery, introducing us to a world unknown that then seemed infinite in its resources. Fast forward to today; global warming, climate change, energy transition, sustainable food models, biodiversity protection, the list goes on. And good luck explaining all this to children. Classic works of art help, be it a book, a painting or a piece of music. And what musical composition is more enduring than Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
For the second year, this timeless masterpiece is brought to life on stage in a unique way through a music theatre performance touching major issues related to our attitude toward the environment and the dangers threatening it. Subjects such as the reduction in the use of plastics, food waste and circular economy are presented to children in a playful and entertaining way, while developing their ecological awareness and artistic education. The work is staged by the subversive theatre group Patari Project, under the guidance of talented Sophia Paschou—a company whose performances have become a point of reference over the last years in the field of theatre for children and young audiences. Targeted at ages 6-96, it means we can leave there a bit wiser and more environmentally alert.
