Love Unbound: Five Films for Freedom
The Love Unbound: Five Films for Freedom Festival is gearing up for its glittering second year. Co-curated by the British Council and organised by Parenthesis and the City of Athens' Technopolis, the festival is dedicated to exploring the diverse range of experiences surrounding the themes of gender equality in the LGBTQIA+ community, through the transformative influence of art and culture. At the heart of the festival lies Five Films for Freedom, a varied selection of short LGBTQIA+ films from across the world. Panel discussions, empowerment workshops and mentoring sessions, all aimed at fostering open conversations about current issues of equality, will also take place throughout the duration of the festival.
But it doesn't stop there. The festival will also feature discussions and workshops led by renowned UK professionals, mentoring sessions with Women on Top, networking sessions, a workshop from the global programme Stronger Together and DJ sets for good measure. This second edition of the festival is even more committed to tackling 21st century challenges, particularly in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within the creative industries.
