Petit Paris d’Athènes 2022

The Petit Paris d’Athènes festival was created with the aim of celebrating Athens’ downtown neighbourhoods and their cultural enrichment. The name of the festival reflects the names of the area’s streets in which it takes place, most of them named after French scholars and philhellenes. This year's theme is 1922, Foundation for Today in honour of the cultural legacy of Smyrna, to commemorate the 100th anniversary since its destruction. The streets of Metaxourgio will be filled with free entrance open gigs and street performances, visual exhibitions, street paintings, freestyle football tournaments and even a petanque tournament. Highlighting the cosmopolitan character of Smyrna, a Jazz ‘n’ World Music Festival is included in the festival’s schedule.
