Poor Things: The Costumes
Prepare for a dazzling visit to the Benaki Museum's latest exhibition, Poor Things: The Costumes. Step into the world of Bella Baxter and see up close 12 original hand-crafted costumes designed by the renowned Holly Waddington. These stunning pieces were worn in Yorgos Lanthimos’ incredible tale of innocence, discovery and human nature by Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo. Each costume is a masterpiece, reflecting the intricate detailing and imaginative flair that won Waddington an Oscar and a BAFTA for her work. Inspired by the Victorian era and with added modern twists, the result is a collection of outfits that are both beautiful and strange, in keeping with the film’s offbeat tone. Previously on display at the Barbican Centre in London, this exhibition has found its way to Athens to provide a rare insight into the exquisite craftsmanship behind the costumes of the acclaimed film Poor Things. Definitely one of the highlights of the upcoming season.
