SNFCC Cosmos 2023
A round of applause for Cosmos, SNFCC’s long established concert series. The crowd-favourite yearly course of live music shows invites internationally renowned artists from a wide range of music genres to perform at the centre’s numerous indoor and outdoor stages. This season’s Cosmos concerts will be hosted at The Greek National Opera's main auditorium, and so far, José González, Kruder & Dorfmeister and Tom Harrell have been announced, with more to follow.
José González
With the release of his new album Local Valley, the indie/folk singer-songwriter returns to Athens. With songs in three languages (English, Spanish, and Swedish), his latest album is one that feels like a journey across the world. His slightly philosophical lyrics, easy and enjoyable tunes, and distinct voice have sold millions of records worldwide, and had him perform sold out shows at the Royal Albert Hall.
Kruder & Dorfmeister
Austria’s answer to the UK's trip-hop scene, K&D take the lead in the Cosmos series in February. The famous duo promise a live audiovisual show influenced by modern jazz tunes and balearic anthems. Hear us out when we say that their performance is more of an experience than just your usual DJ set.
Tom Harrell
The 76-year-old American trumpeter, composer and flugelhorn virtuoso Tom Harrell is one of the last few great jazz artists who still walk amongst us. Coming to Athens this spring to present his latest album, Oak Tree, the 35th in his long career, he's got nothing to prove as he is still top of his game. Expect a virtuosic back and forth between jazz styles, but don't try to grasp the complexities of his playing; simply feel it.
