Park Your Cinema
Insect repellant, check. Picnic blanket, check. Mood for the movies under the Athenian night sky, double-check. The SNFCC's Park Your Cinema is back again for its fifth summer and has announced a series of screenings of classic comedies throughout July. Young Frankenstein, A Night at the Opera, Woman of the Year and What's Up, Doc? will be the adult offerings and youngsters will get to enjoy Lion King, Toy Story, Incredibles 2 and Monsters University on the big screen (yes, parents are also allowed to cry on Mufasa's death.) Entry is free.
For your own safety and in compliance with the measures for maintaining distances as defined by the Hellenic National Public Health Organization, the SNFCC has designed a special layout at the Great Lawn, with signs indicating the spots where groups and families of up to 4 people may sit.
There will be no waiting list. In the event that full capacity is reached, no new visitors will be admitted to the Great Lawn. Use of a face mask during your stay is compulsory.
Update: Park Your Cinema will continue throughout September. Screenings taking place are: Zootropolis (03/09), Blow-Up (06/09), Frozen (19/09), La Dolce Vita (20/09), The Damned United (25/09), Looking for Eric (27/09).
