Symphonic Rock Transformations: Gus G
Rock and classical music come together at the Athens Concert Hall as Gus G joins forces with the Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra, under the direction of George Petrou.
Best known as Ozzy Osbourne’s former guitarist and the driving force behind Firewind, Gus G is recognised for his technical precision and melodic depth. In this performance, his electric guitar takes on a new dimension alongside a full orchestra, exploring the connections between heavy metal and symphonic music.
The programme includes works by Philip Glass, the progressive rock soundscapes of David Bowie and Brian Eno, and Jon Lord’s Sarabande—a piece that blends Baroque influences with 1970s rock grooves.
