Nicholas Egon at Benaki
From Czech count to one of England’s foremost portrait painters, Nicholas Egon broadened the visual aesthetic of the mid-twentieth century when he turned his fierce talent to the Greek landscape. Take a trip to the Greek countryside at the Benaki Museum’s new Egon exhibition which features 22 of his finest whimsical works, inspired by the two decades the artist spent living here before his death in 2017. The collection, hosted at the Benaki's Ghika Gallery site, was donated by Egon’s widow Matti and will be on sale at the museum shop during the exhibition.
