ReFOCUS Art Festival: Art Under Pressure

Out of every tragedy comes new strength. That universal truth is the story behind ReFOCUS Media Labs, the collective of media artists that was formed on the Greek island of Lesvos back in 2017. What started as a series of training classes in media skills for locals, recognized refugees and asylum seekers developed into a global network of media labs in Greece (Lesvos, Athens), Poland (Krakow), the U.S. (Philadelphia) and professional productions in Amsterdam and Berlin. ReFOCUS Art Festival is their annual, free entrance showcase of work in various fields and takes place at the downtown cultural hub of Romantso. The three day festival features film screenings, DJ sets, live performances, photography and video exhibitions and more.
