The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson
Step into the lives of three sisters, each with her own distinct personality, passions and quirks in the tragicomedy The Memory of Water, staged at Theatre 104 by Freεk theatre group. Written by Shelagh Stephenson, the play introduces us to Teresa, Mary and Catherina who grapple both with the loss of their mother and of their childhood home. Adding to the difficult situation, the sisters remember things from their shared past differently, something that inevitably leads to conflict. The play won Best Comedy at the 2000 Olivier Awards and is a study in family dynamics and the stages of grief. This production directed by Josep Blatchley will be performed in English for a free and limited number of plays.
