Agorafoviko Festival
Naming a new music festival "agoraphobic" is quite a conversation starter. Is it a festival for the introverts, or an invitation to break out of our comfort zones? Agorafoviko (agoraphobic) Festival boasts a lineup that includes the cream of the crop of the local indie scene of the last decades. Over two days you’ll get to listen to what the cool millennial Athenians listen to, and mingle with the crowds. Pan Pan and his synths will be there, Σtella who’s making an international career with her catchy pop rock, Nalyssa Green representing Greek dream pop, singer-songwriter Melentini, as well as film director and musician extraordinaire The Boy, to name a few. The festival’s debut edition is curated by a member of My Wet Calvin, who have been around the local indie scene for two decades. The two-day festival takes place at PLYFA, a relatively new addition to the city’s cultural landscape, housed in the former Athens Knitting and Weaving Industries.
