International Body Music Festival

This festival celebrates one of humanity’s oldest forms of music—the sounds we create through clapping, stepping, snapping, and vocalising, using the only instrument we all share: our bodies.

Since 2008, the International Body Music Festival has brought together traditional and contemporary body music groups, showcasing a range of unique artistic and sonic expressions. This year, over 50 artists from around the world will join in a dynamic line-up of workshops, performances, concerts, open talks, screenings, jams, and parties across central Athens. Echoing the festival’s motto, it’s a chance to experience “music you can see and dance you can hear.”
