TiACF25: Opening Day – Athens Urban Picnic

This is Athens City Festival returns this May — bigger, bolder, and bursting into more neighbourhoods than ever before. From 1 May to 1 June, over 200 free events will take over parks, squares, rooftops and hidden corners across the capital, inviting locals and visitors alike to explore a different side of the city. This is Athens City Festival kicks off with its most laid-back tradition: the Athens Urban Picnic.

Celebrate the first day of May under the trees at Plato’s Academy Park — one of the city’s most underrated green spaces — and enjoy an all-day line-up of live music, DJ sets, screenings, performances, workshops, and creative activities for all ages. It’s free, it’s friendly, and it’s the perfect way to ease into a month of culture, play and discovery.
