Simone Leigh: Anatomy of Architecture
Simone Leigh, the celebrated American artist who made history at the 2022 Venice Biennale, brings her monumental bronze sculptures to the SNFCC Agora. Known for exploring Black female identity through striking forms that merge the body with domestic and architectural elements, Leigh’s work blends power and poise.
The open-air exhibition presents three of her signature pieces—Vessel, Bisi, and Herm—in one of Athens’ most vibrant public spaces. These sculptures speak to themes of care, labour, and untold histories, offering a moment of reflection in the heart of the city.
