Claudia Wieser: Surroundings
Berlin-based artist Claudia Wieser brings a vibrant new installation to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre. Titled Surroundings, this large-scale work transforms the SNFCC Esplanade with striking metal sculptures and over 1,800 hand-painted tiles. Drawing from Modernist aesthetics and ancient gathering spaces, Wieser creates a colourful stage that invites reflection, connection, and pause.
Part of WOW Athens 2025, the installation sets the scene for performances and spontaneous moments—an open invitation to experience the Esplanade in a new light.
