16th Eco Film Panorama
"Climate Emergency". It was 2019's most commonly-used expression, according to the Oxford Dictionary's Word of the Year reveal. And yet, climate change is still not the greatest concern of our times. It should be. Alas, we have not built our lives to allow for preemptive thought and action, as we move from one unrelenting day to the next, assuming everything around us will bear the weight of it all. The Eco Film Panorama has been providing a crucial wake up call for years via a compelling wave of eco film screenings, with the support of the Hellenic Society of the Environment and Cultural Heritage (ELLET). This year's 16th edition takes place at the Greek Film Archive and the ELLET building in Plaka, with an international line-up of movies and documentaries on climate change (most in English or with English subtitles).
