Borderline Festival 11
Elevator music, ad jingles, the buzzing sound inside our ears, folk music from the Middle East. You bet these have nothing in common. We’d say so too, if it wasn’t for Stegi Onassis and Borderline Festival.
In its 11th iteration and spread over three days, Borderline Festival challenges our very definition of music by bringing together acts that, at first glance, don’t really mix that well with each other. From acoustic concerts inside churches, to club nights at former printing factories, and from DNA helix-inspired light-and-sound installations, to neo-folk electronic soundscapes that would make both druids and ravers happy, the festival promises some pretty wild combinations.
If this all sounds way out there, it’s mostly because it probably will be. Onassis Stegi will be transmitting waves from the future throughout all April - check out their Weather Engines exhibition to rethink your smalltalk approach about the weather.
