10th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival

When we say Athens has it all, we truly mean it. As June comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate Bollywood style, right opposite the Acropolis. Yes, you heard that correctly. On the picturesque Philopappou Hill, the Dora Stratou Theatre hosts the 10th edition of the popular Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival, offering a wonderful mix of performances from around the world. From the energetic beats of Bollywood to the graceful movements of belly dance, the intricate steps of classical Indian dance, the fiery flair of flamenco, the vibrant rhythms of Latin dances, and the charm of Georgian and Greek folk dances, there is much to enjoy in this celebration of rhythm, cultural diversity and heritage.

The highlights of the festival are the two Mega Shows on 29 and 30 June. Expect spectacular Bollywood performances led by Anna Dimitratou, founder of the first Bollywood Dance Academy in Greece, and Sumon Rudra, an Indian Bollywood dance performer, teacher, and choreographer. They will be joined by over 250 artists from more than 15 countries. Over the course of three days, you can enjoy dance workshops, the 9th International Bollywood Dance Competition, a mini bazaar, delicious Indian food, and an opening party at Flisvos Marina.
