Kasper Bosmans: The Fuzzy Gaze
In his new large-scale mural at EMST, Belgian artist Kasper Bosmans reflects on the shifting roles of animals in human society.
Spanning 30 metres, The Fuzzy Gaze invites viewers into a world where horses, frogs, teddy bears, and other creatures move through domestic scenes, circus arenas, and symbolic spaces. Bosmans blends sculpture, painting, and installation with playful precision—tracing how animals have been reshaped by human needs and desires: as pets, performers, or commodities.
Rich in detail and narrative, this long-term installation offers a pointed, imaginative take on our relationship with the non-human world.
