Breakfast at Tiffany's
“It calms me down right away, the quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there,” said Holly Golightly about Tiffany’s. Clearly, the artists and co-owners behind popular FokiaNou Art Space, Panagiotis Voulgaris and Mary Cox, agree. They’re staging a seasonally-adjusted showing of their own work that's perfectly-pitched for December’s festive mood and intended to “give rise to the euphoric feeling of gazing into a Tiffany’s display window”. The uplifting works are small-scale abstract gems in vibrant and intense shades, made from repurposed materials. Alternative art fans will love this artist-run project space, a few blocks from historic Panathenaic stadium. It has the intimacy of a small apartment in an old building, and forges collaborative creative alliances between Greek and foreign artists.
